Bahram Jalali, the Executive Chairman and interim CFO at iMagine Design LLC, brings a distinguished background as UCLA’s Fang Lu Professor of Engineering and a renowned figure in Electrical and Computer Engineering. His expertise is marked by pioneering contributions to silicon photonics and significant advancements in imaging, sensing technologies, high-performance computing, and fiber optics. With over 300 peer-reviewed publications and 43 patents globally, Jalali is a celebrated inventor whose technologies have led to successful startups and groundbreaking innovations in various fields, including silicon-CMOS lightwave integrated circuits and ultra-fast imaging techniques. A member of the National Academy of Inventors and recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the Optical Society’s R.W. Wood Prize and IEEE’s Aaron Kressel Award, Jalali’s illustrious career started at Bell Laboratories after completing his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Columbia University.
